Volvo Polestar Racing unveiled the S60 racecar that will compete in this year’s V8 Supercars Championship.

The S60 V8 Supercar, dressed in a Valvoline livery will be able to stretch its legs on Saturday at the Sydney Motorsport Park test day. The engine is a naturally-aspirated HTML8 5.0-liter engine that produces an estimated 650 HP (478kW) and 487lb-ft (666 Nm) of torque.

The engine can rev up to 7,500rpm and runs on E85 gasoline. It can reach speeds of more than 185 mph (298km/h) in just 3.2 seconds from a standstill. The rear axle is powered by a six-speed sequential transmission gearbox that includes a built-in spool diff.

Volvo S60 V8 Supercar features a double wishbone front suspension and independent rear suspension. 395mm front discs and 355mm rear ventilated disks with six- or four-point AP Racing calipers provide stopping power. The wheels are 18-inch forged aluminum alloy, wrapped in Dunlop tires. It has Ohlins TX dampers.
