European sales will end August 31.
Chevrolet is set to unveil a new generation Corvette this July 18th, . It will be vastly different from the Corvette C7 today and will use a mid-engine layout in order to take on the supercars of Europe. According to a new report, the time is running out for the Corvette C7, which will soon be totally discontinued.
CorvetteBlogger According to General Motors, the last day to order a C7 will be June 23. General Motors may not have any allocations that day. If you wish to order one the last C7s made, it’s best to place a deposit before June 17. These dates apply to custom orders, as dealers will likely keep dozens, if not hundreds, of 2019 Corvettes in stock.
Our source also reported that the ZR1’s last order cycle ended at the end last month. This basically means that you can no longer place a custom order. You might be able to find some examples left at dealers if you’re lucky, but we don’t have enough numbers to confirm that. Yesterday, June 6, marked the beginning of the last Corvette C7 Convertible order cycle. GM must receive confirmation by June 10.
Chevrolet will soon end production of the current-generation Corvette in Europe. The C7 and the Camaro will continue to be available in the United Kingdom, Germany, and the United States until August 31. The stricter EU emission standards mean that the American cars won’t be made available after this date. Chevrolet is still unsure if the Corvette C8 will make it to Europe, but we are waiting.
