Lamborghini Reventon going up for auction with only 1,000 miles

You’ll pay $1.4 million.

The Lamborghini Reventon is a special vehicle. Just by looking at it you will know. It was introduced at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 2007. It was the most exclusive and expensive vehicle that the company had produced, until it was dethroned in 2010 by the Sesto Elemento.

Only 20 examples of the vehicle were made for the road, which is 21 if you include the museum piece. Each one has the same matte black finish, army green Alcantara, leather and carbon fiber interior. One of these rare beasts will now be up for auction at the RM Sotheby’s Arizona sale.

The Reventon uses the Murcielago as its foundation and has a 6.5-liter V12 under its hood. It produces 650 horsepower (484kW) in comparison to the Murcielago’s stock 640 horsepower (477kW). The exterior of the Reventon is aggressive, with a distinct nose and a defined rear. This car, brand new, would cost you $1.5 million if it were yours.

The value of the property has not declined much over the past 10 years, which is a problem for interested buyers. According to RM Sotheby’s, it could sell for between $1 million and $1.4 million by the time it crosses the block on January 16, 2017. This particular example is number 3, and has driven just 1,000 miles (1,609 km).

It is in great condition and has had four owners since its 2007 sale. It was originally presented to a Canadian buyer. Then it was purchased by a collector from Chesterfield, Missouri in the U.S. before finally making its way to Canada via Vancouver, where it currently resides.
