The sports car features unique paint, wheels, interior trim, and unique paint colors.
The new special-edition model, the Atlantica, is available to complement the stylish, sporty Hyundai Stinger. The special trim level, limited to 500 copies, is based upon the Stinger’s GT2 AWD trim, and will be made public at the New York Auto Show. It will go on sale this Summer.
The Kia Stinger Atlantica features a new Deep Chroma Blue color, 19-inch Euro-spec stinger wheels, an enlarged trunk badge and a special “1 out of 500” badge. Kia has dressed up the Spider interior with Espresso Brown Nappa leather upholstery and a black suede header. The car also features electronic toys such as wireless phone charging and a 360-degree camera. It also has heated rear seats. These are all new features that were not available in the U.S.
Named after the cross-Atlantic/Ocean partnership of engineers from the U.S. and at Kia’s Nurburgring test facility in Germany, the name is derived.
Orth Hedrick (Vice President of Product Planning at Kia Motors America), stated in a statement that the Atlantica edition has more European flair and distinguishes itself with exclusive badges and features not offered previously by Kia in America.
The 2019 Kia Stinger Atlantica’s price has yet to be confirmed, but it is expected to cost around $53,000. A standard 2019 Stinger GT2 AWD starts from $52,300. This Stinger’s GT designation refers to a biturbocharged, 3.3-liter V6 engine that produces 365 horsepower. The Stinger’s base and premium trim levels have a turbocharged 2.0 liter inline-4 with 265 horsepower.
