NHL Player Tyler Seguin Shares Note Left After Someone Hit His Ferrari

It also happened on Monday.

Imagine you are walking to your car after a long day at work, or shopping. You notice a piece under your windshield wiper. It may be a pamphlet about a roving tent revival, but cars all around you don’t have such promotional material. You inspect your car for damage as you approach. The note is an apology without any identifying information. That’s exactly what Tyler Seguin, an NHL player for the Dallas Stars, received.

According to a report by KTSA Seguin posted the now-dead Instagram story about the note left on his white Ferrari458. The pic was re-shared by the Instagram account nhlcoverage. The note’s author apologized, saying “Sorry, I just hitted [sic] Your car.” The note did not include the name of the perpetrator, their phone number or any insurance information. Seguin captioned this photo with the facepalm emoticon. We can understand it. Is there anyone who would rather start their week with a supercar that is damaged?

The original Instagram story has been deleted. They only stayed up for 24 hours before being automatically deleted. This leaves little information to determine the extent of damage. The repair bill can be quite expensive, regardless of its size. Ferraris can be expensive to buy and to fix. Damage to delicate parts of the car, such as creased sheet metal, bumpers with sensors, or bumpers, could lead to headaches.

Although it’s hard to imagine your Ferrari being damaged, imagine someone hitting your Ferrari. The situation is not win-win for either party. However, the perpetrator left a note which was more than most people would do. However, it would have been right to take responsibility for the accident. Seguin should get his car fixed and back on the road as soon as possible.
