An angry man smashes the BMW i8 windshield – but it was staged?

Although it could have been a karmic response to the i8 owner acting like an inconsiderate idiot, large portions of the internet aren’t buying the story.

YouTuber Coby Persin was making a nuisance out of himself in New York the other day, and he paid the price. Or did he?

Persin was taking photos with his newly-purchased, golden-wrapped BMW. He was posing with one of his friends on the hood. They double-parked their car on a busy Manhattan street to take photos.

Passing motorists, which are all honking their horns, can be quite unhappy. One can go further. There’s more. He grabs a baseball bat and marches up to his i8.

The video has been viewed over 1.4 million times and received 7,700 shares. It also garnered 8,300 comments. It is very clear that it has “gone viral”. However, a growing number of people aren’t buying the idea.

An angry man smashes the BMW i8 windshield - but it was staged?

The incident could have been Persin’s karmic response to his inconsiderate behavior. Consider the video he made for Youtube. It is a series of “pranks” that he has created and social experiments. There is no point or obvious comedy. The whole thing feels a bit staged. His buddy and he move out of the way a bit too fast and don’t attempt to stop the man with the bat or shout at him. It doesn’t make sense.

He did it to himself. He probably thinks it’s hilarious – it’s not – but he most likely figured that it would bring attention to him in outlets that had never mentioned him before, which would increase his views. Yes, I see the irony in this statement.

Persin will have to pay the bill for Persin’s new windshield. Although I am sure Persin’s sponsors and/or trust funds can easily pay it.
