The G90 is a large sedan that you want to be luxurious and spacious.
These spy photos and the video of next-gen Genesis G90 give a good idea of how the large, luxurious sedan will look. Kolesa digitally removes the camouflage wrap so that you can get a better idea about how the model will look when it debuts.
The G90’s new version is very similar to the old one. The brand’s shield-shaped grille is still present, but the lower fascia makes up a larger part of the design. The updated LED headlights have a horizontal strip that separates them. The design features a large clamshell-hood.
The profile of the new G90 is similar to the existing one. The most significant change is in the back, where the angle of the C-pillar is sharper. This makes the roofline look sleeker.
G90’s tail features two full-width taillights separated by bodywork. This is similar to the style of the headlights. In the spy shots and here, you can see that the upwardly sculpted kink in the rear deck appears to be a little more prominent on this model than it is on the current one.
The new G90 will lose its 5.0-liter naturally aspirated engine V8. The sedan will instead get a twin-turbocharged, 3.5-liter V6 that produces 375 horsepower (280kilowatts) as well as 391 pound-feet (351 Newton-meters) as the GV80.
Later, an electric version will be called eG90. The details of the EV are not yet available.
The cabin is still not available for us to see. You can expect a cabin that emphasizes luxury and comfort rather than sportiness, judging by other products from the brand. All the safety and tech features buyers expect from this premium segment will be present.
The unveiling of the G90 is expected to take place this year. They won’t be available in American showrooms until 2022.
