It is fascinating to observe the changes in automotive performance over time. The Nissan GT-R won this race in 2011 with a time 11.2 seconds. This narrowly beat the Ferrari 458 Italia by 11.3 seconds.
In 2016, the Audi R8 Plus covered the distance in 10.6 seconds, while a McLaren GT1_ was right behind it at 10.7 seconds. The 2017 edition of the race is electric with a Model S running the distance in 10.5 seconds and a Ferrari 4488 GTB just behind it at 10.6 seconds.
2018 is even faster than 2017, when the McLaren completes the quarter-mile in 10.2 seconds. With a time of 10.08 seconds, the McLaren Senna runs the quarter-mile in the fastest time in 2019.
