After Nurburgring 24hr win, BMW M3 GTS R limited edition rumored

M3post reports that Scott26, a reliable source, told them that the car would be called the M3 GTS R. It will be based upon the GTS. It will feature a matte black finish, a front spoiler and wider rear fenders. Lightweight alloy wheels are also included. The GTS-R will feature many carbon fiber components. To keep weight down, the GTS-R will also use a standard carbon fiber roof. Other components like the rear spoiler and hood and the deck lid would also receive the fiber treatment.

The engine will be a 4.4-liter V8 that produces at least 450 PS (or 331 kW/ 444 horsepower). The GTS-R may be mated to a seven-speed M dual clutch transmission M-DCT. It could also have a KERS regenerative brake / boost system from 2011 M5.
