Galpin Auto Sports, a California-based company, has revealed their new Rocket in Los Angeles.

The Rocket is based on the 2015 Ford Mustang and features a lightweight carbon fibre body designed by Henrik Fisker.

Although the styling isn’t for everyone, it has a prominent front fascia that features a hexagonal grille and sits above a carbon fibre front splitter. Further back is a ram-air hood, carbon fiber side skirts, and sculpted fenders. A carbon fiber rear diffuser, integrated trunk spoiler, and 21-inch ADV.1 wheels with Pirelli P-Zero tires are some other notable features.

Although the company had little to say about interior design, we can see a leather-wrapped dashboard and carbon fiber trim with contrast stitching. Recaro seats, auxiliary gauges, and sill plates with the “Rocket” brand are also included in this car.

Galpin confirmed that the model’s V8 engine produces 725 horsepower (540 kW). However, details of performance were not made public. According to the company, the car features adjustable suspension and Brembo brakes.

The Rocket will be in production by the end of next month, and the first deliveries are planned for early 2015.
