It is a beautiful display of car control.
You can find a two-minute respite from the stress of everyday life by turning off your brain to watch this Vaughn Gittin Jr. driving his Ford MustangRTR around Fort Worth, Texas. This clip is free of any extra music. Instead, the viewer can concentrate on the engine’s angry sound and see the smoke billowing out of the rear tires.
“I’ve always wanted the opportunity to enter a cloverleaf at maximum attacking is something that I have always wanted to do!” Gittin Jr. described the experience as “nothing like the sound of the engine revving under the overpass section, it echoed all the way,” It was just the right mix of fun and sketchiness… and it was a lot more difficult than I expected to link it all together. It was even more difficult to do it at night.
Gittin Jr. is able to spin the tires of this Mustang RTR with a mere 900 horsepower. After a quick runup, Gittin Jr. enters the cloverleaf’s long, sweeping corner, keeping the tail out all the time. Even as he exits from the ramp, the rubber never stops smoking and straightens out before he enters the next corner. Gittin Jr. continues his stunt through two more sections on the cloverleaf without stopping. It is amazing to see his car control.
Although you won’t be able to drive Gittin Jr.’s Mustang RTR in real-life, it is possible to drift this machine if you have Forza Motorsport 4 or Forza Motorsport 7. The March updates for both include Gittin Jr.’s drift weapon, his teammate’s and a road-legal Mustang RTR.
