It is beautiful inside.

For conversions to motorhomes, military trucks are great options. These vehicles are rugged, reliable, and easy to repair. These qualities are important when living in a truck. This couple builds a custom RV with all the amenities such as a king-sized bed and plenty of hot water.

This motorhome was built from an M1087, which is part of the Family of Medium Tactical Vehicles. The model has an expanding side to give you more interior space when it is stopped. The couple doesn’t modify the mechanical parts, such as the central tire inflation system. A three-method water heating system allows for hot showers from anywhere. Generators are also available on the rig, but they are not necessary for use with an induction cooktop.

Solar panels dominate roofs most of the time. The couple can move the panels out of the way to make a space that allows for the couple to enjoy the view from the top of their rig. This is a wonderful place to see a sunrise or sunset.

The interior is the most impressive part of the house. The big bed is often placed against the ceiling to save space. However, a lift system lowers it to the ground. This system has the added advantage of being able level the sleeping area even if the truck is parked on the hill.

One of the systems on the military trucks doubles as a party feature when it’s time for a good time. The black-out mode turns off all regular lights and gives the interior a blue glow. After adding a few lasers to the cabin, it is ready for a party.
