BMW 4 Series Coupe in Base Trim with Black Bumpers

No, no, no… please, no!

The second-generation BMW 4 Series Coupe has arrived. Although some have reservations about its design, we are confident that it will be a huge success with sports coupe buyers, especially in Europe. The base 430i Coupe model will cost you at least $45,600 with rear-wheel drive in America. However, German customers can get a (relatively more affordable) 420i version for EUR45,800.

We shared photos and information about the very basic new 4 Series Coupe, which was published a few days back. The exterior is a bit more restrained and the interior features an analog instrument cluster, traditional speedometer and tachometer along with a 5.1-inch color display. A new rendering elevates the coupe’s price to an entirely new level.

The car you see here is not real and will hopefully never be made a reality. This is X-Tomi’s creation. It features a base model of the new 4 Series Coupe, with black plastic bumpers and cheap halogen headlights. The car still has a massive dual kidney grille on the front, but it rides on 16-inch wheels. It also has door handles and side mirror caps which aren’t finished in the body color.

We can easily imagine the car being equipped with a turbocharged 1.5-liter 3-cylinder engine from BMW. The mill produces 136 horsepower (100 megawatts) in one application, which is comparable to the car’s boring appearance.
