Hyundai, don’t be a tease.
The Hyundai Palisade has the cool factor. It’s elegant, comfortable, and very enjoyable to drive. While the 3.8-liter V6 produces 291 horsepower (217 Kilowatts) as well as 262 pound-feet (355 Nms) of torque, it isn’t neck-breaking. As Motor1.com‘s Senior editor Jeff Perez observed during his test-drive of the SUV. What more can we ask? Of course, there is a performance version.
Although the Palisade renderings are clearly fake, they offer a good idea. A South Korean manufacturer has made a joke about April Fools Day on Instagram. Although the large family hauler may not be the first vehicle you think of when talking about the N Division, it is a great example.
This is the best time to speculate on what the Palisade N will look like under the hood. The stock V6 engine will not be powerful enough, so we would like to see Hyundai’s V8 Tau with 419 horsepower (313 kW), which could make it a serious rival for large SUVs. It would also be great to sprint from 0 to 60 miles per hour (100 km/h) in 6 to 6.5 seconds. Thanks.
Hyundai also released renderings for a performance NexoN model. It would be difficult to give the eco-friendly more power, as it is powered by a hydrogen fuel cells electric powertrain. You could simply replace all of the green tech with a 2.0-liter turbo. It’s easy.
