VW Golf GTI adidas and Excessive World Debuts in Worthersee

Learn everything you need to know about the new Golf GTI models on display in Austria this week. This is the story.

Two new GTI models were introduced by VW, the German automaker. From May 15th, the Volkswagen Golf GTI Adidas and Volkswagen Golf GTI Excessive concepts will be displayed at Reifnitz.

After the event, the Golf GTI adidas will be available for purchase starting in June. The interior of the three- and five-door cars is inspired by adidas footwear. It features two-tone sport cloth, leather seats with three-stripe logos, and leather seats. At the B-pillar, the brand’s logo can be seen on the car’s exterior. The GTI comes standard with the following equipment: smoked lenses on the rear LED lights and cornering bixenon headlights.

The car rides on 18-inch Serron alloys. It also comes with the Light & Sight package. This includes dual zone climate control, tire pressure monitoring, tire pressure monitoring, and a nifty shift grip that is inspired by a golf ball (only available on the DSG). Only Black Uni, Candy White and Tornado Red colors are available. The turbocharged engine of 155 kW (210 PS), powers the car to a top speed of 240 km/h.

The Volkswagen Golf GTI adidas will be available for sale in Europe starting next month. Exported models can also be sold in Australia or the United States.

The Volkswagen Golf GTI Excessive concept vehicle, which was created to show “the incredible design potential of the Golf GTI”, is not being sold by the company. The company may offer the parts as Volkswagen Original Accessories if they get enough positive reactions.

These add-on options include a thinner front spoiler, which leads to 30mm larger flared wheel wells. According to the company, new side sills and a rear diffuser were bolted on. This diffuser “lights fire-red while braking” according to the company. The larger perforated disc brakes are 370mm long at the front and 310mm at back and are covered with 19-inch CH Black Edition BBS tires. Also, a new rear spoiler has been fitted. The Akrapovic exhaust boosted power by slightly more than two percent.

Many of the extra parts are painted in glossy black so it’s not surprising that VW used the color to offset the aluminum trim. The new sport seats come in red Nappa leather and black Nappa leather. This red is used to match the Firespark Metallic exterior color and the rear diffuser light.

VW may announce the introduction of an optional line of equipment to the Golf GTI Excessive if it is popular.
