Ford Puma Gets ST-Line Vignale Trim, Diesel, And Automatic

This is certain to be the most expensive Puma money you can buy.

We published just hours ago our rendering the Ford Puma ST performance crossover. The Blue Oval responded to our requests with the Puma ST Line Vignale. The combination of the ST-Line’s sporty exterior and the luxurious interior of the Vignale gives it the best of both.

The interior is the most interesting part of the vehicle. It features a generous standard equipment including special Windsor leather seats, Manacor leather steering wheels, automatic LED headlights and Manacor-leather seats. The exterior features a unique fascia that includes an aluminum surround and upper grille, as well as a bony lower grille.

“Customers told us they want a variety of options to help them find the right combination of style and equipment, performance, efficiency, and affordability that’s just right,” Roelant de Waard (marketing, sales and service vice president for Ford Europe) explained the combination of ST-Line and Vignale.

Customers will be more interested the mechanical upgrades to the Puma, as Ford just announced the addition a 1.5-liter EcoBlue Diesel engine. It generates 120 horsepower (89 kilowatts) through a six-speed manual transmission. This allows it to return a combined fuel consumption rate of 4.5 liters for every 100 kilometers, according to Europe’s new WLTP system.

The Puma now has an automatic transmission. This seven-speed dual-clutch automatic will be available for the EcoBoost three-cylinder turbo engine of 1.0 liter with 125 horsepower (93 kW). Ford states that the advanced transmission has a greater number of gear ratios, dual-clutch operation and seamless gear changes for optimized fuel efficiency, refinement, and driving dynamics.
