All interior surfaces are covered with a soft-touch material.
Hyundai launched the new-generation Santa Fe in February 2018,. It’s currently giving it a complete update. This isn’t your average mid-cycle refresh. The midsize SUV will be moving to a new platform. The modified underpinnings are expected to pay dividends in terms performance, handling, safety, and unlock the possibility of electrified powertrains.
You’ll notice the first changes on the exterior of the 2021 Santa Fe. The front grille has been widened and bolder, with different patterns depending upon the trim level. You’ll also notice new 20-inch alloy wheels at the sides.
The SUV’s rear end has been updated with modified taillight graphics as well as a new light bar that extends across the whole width of the tailgate. Hyundai installed a new reflector at the corner of the bumper in order to emphasize the vehicle’s width. The back features a reworked skidplate.
The SUV’s technical specifications are still unknown. However, we know that the 2021 Santa Fe has more space than ever before and has a revised center console that offers more storage in its lower section. The don’t-call-it-a-facelift adds a Terrain Mode selector in the center console, allowing the driver to pick from sand, snow and mud, eco, comfort, sport, and smart modes. The latter will automatically detect your driving style and choose the best driving mode for you.
Hyundai has integrated gear shift buttons into the floating center console through the shift-by-wire technology. This eliminates the need for a bulky shift knob and frees up space. As part of technological updates, the 2021 Santa Fe features a touchscreen infotainment screen that measures 10.25 inches and a 12.3-inch driver’s display. The cabin has been completely redesigned to include soft-touch materials.
The European launch of the 2021 Hyundai Santa Fe in Europe will take place in September. Details about the engines will be made available closer to market launch. The U.S. version is currently not available, but it should be soon.
The Hyundai Santa Fe is just one of many upcoming cars that we have in our list of future car for 2021 and beyond.
