Live photos and details from the new 5 by Peugeot concept are available on stage in Geneva.

Today, Peugeot presented a four-door hybrid sedan called “5 by Peugeot” at the Geneva Motor Show. The car, called “5 by Peugeot”, is the French automaker’s possible successor to both 407 & 607. It also features a “large luxury vehicle” named 508.

The car measures 4,860mm in length, 1,880mm width, and 1,420mm high. It is smaller than the current BMW 5-Series. The front-mounted 163 horsepower (122 kW/165 PS) 2.0-liter Diesel engine is used, while the back uses a 27 kW electric power unit. When both systems are active, the combined power of the two engines is 147 kW/200 PS. This provides power to all four wheels. All-electric driving can also be done at low speeds.

Although performance specs are not available, the hybrid emits 99 grams CO2 per kilometer when it is running. The average fuel consumption for 100 km is 3.8 liters (74.3 mpg imp/ 61.9 US).

The vehicle’s front is designed to look like a cat, with LED tube lighting accenting the front. This is similar to the Peugeot SR1 concept . The handles and side windows are engraved with brushed-aluminum. Two-tone lighting gives the rear of the car a futuristic, easily recognizable appearance.

The Peugeot 3008 will be the first vehicle to feature Hybrid4 technology, as seen on the 5 from Peugeot.
