According to CAR Porsche has abandoned plans to build the 2015 model from existing vehicles. The supercar, codenamed “960”, will instead ride on a custom mid-engine Mimo platform (aka MSB–M), which has not yet been approved. Although little is known about its architecture, it will be adaptable and available with a wide range of configurations.

The magazine also suggests a twin-turbo, 3.8-liter boxer engine of 600 horsepower (447 kW/ 608 PS) with 550 lbft (745 Nm).
