Although the AMG Gran Turismo will be produced, don’t expect it to be the final version. It will be based upon the 2014 SLS GT, but the entire body will be made of carbon fiber. This will reduce the vehicle’s weight by more than 200 lbs (91 kilogram). The vehicle will be equipped with ADV.1 custom wheels, while the exterior will sport a chrome finish.
The Vision Gran Turismo will come with a custom exhaust system and retractable rear spoiler. While the interior will be modified, it will also have a bespoke exhaust system. The same V8 6.3-liter engine will power the SLS AMG GT, which produces 591 HP (435kW). It is mated to an AMG DCT Speedshift seven speed sports transmission. Due to its lower curb weight, the standard 2014 SLS AMG GT can reach 62 mph (100 km/h in 3.7 seconds) so the custom version will be 0.1 to0.2 seconds faster.
Five cars will be modified, and one car has been sold. Two units will be sent to Europe and two will reach the Middle East. The final vehicle will be sold in America. If you’re willing to spend 1.5M USD, one of the available units could be yours. This is a lot more than the base model, which is 201,500 USD.
