Michael Bay announces Drift Returns as an AMG.
Drift, the Autobot also known as Drift, will be back on the silver screen in Mercedes AMG GT R. Today, director Michael Bay announced that the modified GT R would be featured in Transformers – The Last Knight. In Transformers films , Drift was previously seen in Bugatti Veyron.
The AMG GT R is shown in the movie with black paint and red accent stripes. This is a completely different look to the bright-green AMG GT R, which was introduced in June. The Transformers edition might have some modifications, but the regular Mercedes-AMG GT R still delivers 577 horsepower thanks to its modified 4.0-liter biturbo-V-8 engine. New gear ratios were added to the seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.
The next movie will feature Barricade a Ford Mustang modified to look like the most mean cop car you’ve ever seen. Its unofficial motto? Director Bay said that the motto is “To punish and enslave.” Keep your eyes open for , a new version of Bumblebee. Although the Transformer will remain a black-and yellow Chevrolet Camaro, this modified version features carbon-fiber exterior parts.
The Mercedes-AMG GT R regular Mercedes-AMG GT R will be available to U.S. dealers in the middle of next-year, at the same time Transformers : The Last Knight arrives in theaters on June 23, 2017.
