The patent photos we posted at 2013’s end showed the Milner LRM-1 off-road racing car variant of Range Rover Evoque.
Those patent photos that we posted at 2013’s end were actually of the Milner LRM-1 off-road racing car variant of Range Rover Evoque.
Autovisie contacted Land Rover to inquire about the mysterious patent photos. The British company quickly responded and revealed the identity of this car. Milner LRM-1 is a modified version of Range Rover Evoque, which has a full space frame chassis and double wishbone. It also features a fully independent suspension.
These photos show the first production unit. It has a composite shell that is approximately 4/5 the size as the road-legal Evoque. The V8 5.0-liter supercharged, 550-bhp (410-kW) engine delivers more than 680 Nm (501-lb-ft) of power. A six-speed sequential gearbox with Milner differentials, and a transfer box transfers power to the wheels.
Milner offers the LRM-1 either as a turnkey vehicle or as a rolling kit that includes a variety of engines and gearboxes.
