Porsche 911 Gets Off-Road Makeover From German Tuner
This one-off trip should take you all the way from Germany through Dakar.

We have seen a promising new trend in the past few months. Many tuning companies have created amazing Porsche 911-based adventure vehicles, such as the Ruf Rodeo or the KMR Safari 911. Another amazing example of an off-road-ready 911 comes from Delta4x4, the German tuners.

According to the company, the design of this Porsche 911 was inspired by Porsche’s Dakar and Pharaoh rally victories from 1980s. It is from the 992 model year and has a Carrera 4S specification. This makes it more than just a base for what should be an off-road machine.

Delta4x4 received a call from an entrepreneur in Germany with a very specific request. The client wanted his 911 Carrera 4S to be converted into an adventure vehicle that could travel from Germany to Dakar. This would be a replica of the Rallye Paris-Dakar. This is what tuning experts wanted to hear.

There are only a few renderings that show the final product so far. We love what we see. The vehicle features a custom-designed light bar and roof rack that give it an off-road look. A new reinforced chassis, with a 250mm ground clearance, should be able to perform well off-road.

Based on the information available, Delta4x4’s project remains in its early stages. According to the company, all information will be available by next year. We can’t wait for the final off-roader. It will be interesting to see if the suspension and visual tweaks are accompanied by an upgrade of the powertrain to increase the engine’s power to 444 horsepower (331kilowatts).
