There are also ambulance and cargo versions.
Torsus announced the creation of a new van based off-roader in July to complement its existing line of larger overlanding vehicles. The veil has been lifted on Terrastorm, the latest Torsus machine.
To increase ground clearance to 11.4 inches, the ride height has been increased. The Terrastorm’s large all-terrain tires have a 26-degree approach angle and a 20 degree departure angle. The Terrastorm is able to withstand 27 inches of water, should you come across it on your journey. Skid plates and custom bumpers with integrated winches offer protection and support for machinery and occupants in case of real trouble.
Torsus offers the Terrastorm with a range of configurations. These can accommodate up to 20 people. You can choose from mild to wild seating, or even full five-point harnesses for serious off-roading with large groups of people. There are also swivel chairs and tables that make the cabin appear more comfortable. The Terrastorm’s interior can accept modular components.Torsus also revealed the Terrastorm’s cargo and ambulance versions to show its versatility. Although it is not clear if Torsus will offer these upfits from its factory floor directly, Torsus stated that the ambulance model was constructed to EU standards with proper electrical supply and oxygen delivery systems.
Terrastorm is targeted at the European market. It will be available for purchase in the third quarter 2020. The price starts at EUR57.461 (PS52.291), which is approximately $67.426 in U.S currency.
