He went on a night-drive, which was an amazing experience.
We all know Ken Block and his Hoonigan Racing Division crew. He is a famous rally driver and drifter who also loves Ford cars, such as the new Mustang. He had the opportunity to test drive the Mach-E 1400 to do what he loves best: burning tires.
Block is also well-known for his massive white F150 Raptor, which received significant modifications thanks to California-based offroad tuner SVC. It’s a great car.
Block seems to have a problem with this, especially for night trail hopping. Block teamed up with Rigid Industries in order to add light fixtures to his Raptor. The result? The result? A F-150 Raptor who is ready to do whatever it takes, day or night.
Block’s Ford truck is equipped with 300,000 lumens. This makes LED and HID lights look stale. lumen refers to a unit that measures the amount of visible light emitted per unit time by a source.
The video embedded above shows that 300,000 lumens gives you a significant advantage when it comes to visibility, especially during high-speed runs. A bright set of lights allows you to see obstacles clearly from a distance.
Comparatively, halogen bulbs can produce 700 lumens at low beam while a high beam bulb will produce as much as 1,200 lumens. Do the math.
Block showed the difference between the stock light, the lights that were previously installed, and the new fixtures from Rigid Industries. Block did a night run to test the effectiveness of the light. It was amazing. The whole thing can be viewed on the video at the top.
