Although accessories can add a lot to the cost, most buyers won’t need them all.
The Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross is a strange beast. The name is an homage to one of the brand’s iconic performance models. However, the exterior design of the Eclipse Cross is modern. The configurator for Mitsu’s angular SUV can be found online. You can tick every option box to bring the price up to $36,135 (including $995 destination), though a well-equipped example is much less.
The Eclipse is priced at $24,625, with all models featuring a turbocharged 1.5 liter four-cylinder producing 152 horsepower and torque of 184 pound-feet. It runs through a CVT to the base trim’s front wheels and an all-wheel drive system to every other trim.
The SEL model is the most expensive at $29,215. The SEL model comes with features like multi-view camera, leather seats, and LED headlights. It also includes driver assistance tech such as blind spot monitoring, rear crosstraf alert, and lane change aid.
The $2,500 Touring Package allows buyers to add more luxury items. The package includes a panoramic sunroof and nine-speaker stereo. It also has heated rear seats, heated steering wheels, heated rear seats, an automatic-dimming rearview camera, roof rails, and a heated steering wheel. Safety aids are enhanced by adaptive cruise control, adaptive collision mitigation, lane departure warning and automatic high beams.
The Eclipse Cross is available in eight exterior colors. Tarmac Black is an option, as well as Octane Blue and Octane Blue. Alloy silver, Bronze Metallic and Mercury Grey are also available at no cost. Red Diamond costs $595, while Diamond White is $200. Black leather is the only option for upholstery on the SEL.
Mitsubishi offers many accessories, but not all. Premium Exterior Package is $1,395 and includes side sill extensions and black lugnuts. It also includes wheel locks and revised trim for front and rear bumpers. Rear parking sensors cost $510, which is a bit more than what should be included in the Technology Package. Other additions include an expanded LED interior lighting system, all-weather floor mats and protection for rear cargo.
