This huge motorhome has incredible space.
The humble, bendy bus. It’s a great people-mover in crowded areas, but it is also incredibly funny. They offer a vast amount of living space, which is a plus for RV enthusiasts who are willing to put in a little bit of money and work hard. And we do mean massive.
This 1986 Volvo B10MA, presented by Nick Jordan on YouTube, looks quite sad from the outside. It could be an Australian sleeper thing, as the bus and its owner are from New South Wales. But once you step inside, it all makes sense. RVs usually make smart use of space. However, RVs can be 55 feet long and have over 430 cubic yards of interior space. This plain white wrapper features a large kitchen, including a full-size table, two refrigerators, two sinks, and 264 gallons fresh water. There’s even an unusual wine rack that’s mounted right next to the driver’s chair. This is just the forward portion.
Moving back further, the Volvo still has some of its original seating. It is used as a pseudo-lounge. There is plenty of space here. A few storage tables have been set up. The rear section of the bus is responsible for managing the electricity. The bus can also be powered by 240-volt electricity through the solar panels that are mounted on its roof. This is important because electricity is the only source of heat and cooking on this rig. No propane is used.
You can enter the office by stepping through the RV’s accordion section. Here, you will find full-size furniture, including a chair, lamp and a desk. The office has a full-size bathroom with a normal toilet, separate stand-up shower and a separate sink. This rig does not have an all-in-one bath-commode. The master bedroom is next. It has a king-size bed, lots of storage, a large dresser and enough space to do happy dances if you so desire.
Although we don’t know how much it would cost to build something like this, it is the best use of a huge bendy bus that we have ever seen. It’s 55 feet in length, and the blender on the counter may jiggle a little while it’s in transit, but the large interior space and wood floors make this bus a mobile home.
