You can get skid plates, additional cameras, locking differentials and different wheels.
The 2022 GMC Hummer EV Edition1 will be standard with the Extreme Off-Road package. It’ll also be available as an option on certain future trims. There have not been any details regarding the equipment included in this pack. The GM Trucks website was able to find out more information about the Extreme Off-Road Package.
We knew that the pack contained underbody armor, rock sliders and wheels with 35-inch tires. According to GM Trucks The equipment list includes 18-inch wheels in black, with machined accents and Goodyear Wrangler Territory MMT rubber around them. Skid plates are added to the mechanical protection for the rear differential, battery and front differential.
The electronic locking front differential is there, but the one at back is virtual. This means that the software code is forcing wheels to spin together instead of using a traditional mechanical method. Both ends have heavy-duty half shafts.
We knew of the Hummer EV’s UltraVision front- and rear-underbody cameras. GM Trucks states that they are part the Extreme Off-Road Package. This system allows you to easily see where your wheels are placed, which is very useful on tight trails. The vehicle has 18 viewing angles thanks to its vast array of cameras.
The Extreme Off-Road Package also includes premium floor liners as well as rubber floors with rubber inserts. You can remove the standard mats and use a hose for cleaning the cabin.
If you are looking to wait for the GMC Hummer SUV rather than the truck that is coming first, the Extreme Off-Road package is also available. The equipment is identical to the Edition 1 pickup, with the same pack.
