Before you buy one, get to know the 2021 Corvette.
The Corvette C8 will be one of the most sought-after commodities in 2020. The popularity of the mid-engine sports car has driven fans and enthusiasts crazy, despite the ongoing pandemic. Chevrolet is busy manufacturing and fulfilling orders throughout the year. The 2021 model year has already begun.
What’s new? Here’s a quick overview. Chevy introduces two new exterior colors for the 2021 model year – the Silver Flare Metallic (seen below) and the Red Mist Metallic Tintcoat. These colors will replace the same hues in the previous model year. Three new colors will be available for the Stinger Stripe: Carbon Flash/Edge Red and Carbon Flash/Edge Yellow. Blue, Orange and Red will all be available for those who want full-length stripes.
There are only a few changes inside, including the Sky Cool Gray/Yellow Strike interior colour. The infotainment system will also have wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto capabilities. This feature will be standard across the entire range.
These updates will not be limited to aesthetics. You can order the Magnetic Selective Ride Control suspension even if you don’t have the Z51 package. Standard will be a Buckle To Drive safety function. If you aren’t properly buckled for at least 20 seconds, this feature will not allow you to shift into Park.
The price of the 2021 Chevy Corvette will not change for the base model. However, there are reports that higher trims and options will be more expensive. It appears that you will have to wait if your order is placed today.
