Audi’s A3 Sportback is a contender to premium subcompact hatchbacks like the BMW 1 Series or Mercedes-Benz A-Class. The substantial update has added fresh styling, updated interior and a plug-in hybrid option. This will make it a practical hatchback that is also sustainable. The new plug-in hybrid option will also be available in the A3 Saloon. Let’s get to the good stuff.
The Audi Q3-inspired design is found in the new Audi A3 Sportback. It features a wider grille and redesigned headlights. There are also new bonnet tweaks and air intakes. Rear bumper and taillights have been updated. The new A3 is slightly wider and longer overall, which gives it a sportier and more athletic appearance. Audi offers 17-inch and 18-inch wheels on request. The standard Audi LED headlights come with matrix LEDs as an option. The standard equipment includes a digital instrument cluster and leather multifunction steering wheel. There is also a two-zone automatic air conditioner system. Optional equipment includes a full-size digital instrument display measuring 12.3 inches and a color head up display. The new A3 will have an integrated infotainment screen on the dashboard, new panels to control climate and rocker switches, as well as a new infotainment dial.
Audi’s Car to-X software will be available, but it will not be available at the launch. It communicates with infrastructure and traffic signs to provide real-time driving information and parking information. The new Audi A3 Sportback will be available in 40 TFSI E trim, which is a significant increase in price from the A3 Sportback. However, the entry-level Technik trim doesn’t offer the PHEV version. Customers can expect to get their cars before the end of this year.
