BMW 8 Series Art Car by Jeff Koons Features Interior with Spider-Man Vibes

BMW has 99 of these cars in production. Each one will cost $350 995 after destination in the USA.

BMW teams up with Jeff Koons, a well-known artist, to produce a limited edition of 99 units of the 8 Series Gran Coupe. These are unique pieces of art. The vehicle is called The 8 X Jeff Koons by the company. The first vehicle will be sold by the automaker to benefit charity in a Christie’s auction that took place in New York on April 4. After destination in the United States, the rest of the examples will be sold for $350.995.

These cars all start with a M850i Gran Coupe. The front features a yellow fascia with blue accents under the headlights. On the sides, white shapes are placed that look like sound effects drawings from a comic book.

The complex pattern of interconnected lines in gray and blue creates the hood’s hood. In the middle is a stylized BMW logo.

Along the sides, there are more of those comic-book-art-inspired touches, including “POP!” The rear doors are covered with “POP!” From the outlet behind the front wheels, you can see a cloud. Horizontal blue lines create an illusion of speed along the vehicle’s flanks.

Surprise at the back is an image of a cartoon-like explosion in the trunk and rear bumper.

The interior is vibrant and features a mixture of bright red upholstery and blue seats. The dashboard’s lower section and the floor mats are burgundy. The carpets and door panels are light brown. The cupholder lid plaque clearly identifies the special edition as well as Koons’ signature.

BMW claims that each car is built in 11 stages, requiring several hundred hours of labor. Two of these cars will be built by the automaker’s special teams each week.

BMW is now taking pre-orders in the US for one of The 8 X Jeff Koons cars. From April 1 to 4, the automaker will take the machine on a worldwide tour. It will be displayed at Rockefeller Plaza, New York City. It will also be on display at the 16th Istanbul Contemporary and Paris Photo events, as well as at Art Basel Hong Kong, West Bund Art & Design Fair Shanghai and West Bund Art & Design Fair Shanghai.

Koons collaborated previously with BMW In 2010, a BMW M3 GT2 Art Car was created. The machine featured bright streaks of color against a black background. It competed in that year’s 24 Hours of Le Mans.
