Nissan has introduced a 1.6-liter turbo engine for its Pulsar model.
The 1.6 DIG T engine was announced at last year’s car premiere. According to the Japanese company, it is the “sportiest and most powerful engine” in the range. The engine produces 190 HP (140kW) and the maximum torque is 240 Nm (177.5 lb-ft) at speeds ranging from 2,000 to 4,000 RPM. These numbers are sufficient to sprint at 0-100 km/h (0-62mph) in 7.7 seconds.
Nissan claims the engine generates “more with less”. Despite its “athletic performances”, it returns an average 4.75 L/100 km (49.5 MPG) and has CO2 emissions at 134g/km.
Nissan has also tuned the suspension and steering system to make the engine more powerful, while stiffening the body shell. New rear dampers are now available and the wheels are wider at 18 inches.
The Nissan Pulsar DIG-T 190 can be ordered now at prices starting from 19,645 GBP (27.180 EUR).
