Truck owners can make their downtime more pleasant.
It sounds boring, we know. But if you work long hours on construction sites, taking a break in your truck could be a huge relief. Ford found this out after analyzing hundreds of hours of video footage and thousands of photos.
Jackie DiMarco (Ford truck product line director) said, “We know that people who work on construction sites or mining sites use their truck cabin for naps during downtime. We also learned that everyday owners do the same.”
It’s a simple but useful feature. Ford recognizes its utility outside of work. He cites the time lost waiting for a child to attend a sports tournament.
Five patents have been granted to the Max Recline Seats of the F-150 2021, although the design process was not difficult. To work, the whole mechanism does not require additional motors.
The Max Recline Seats are available in the 2021 F-150 King Ranch and Platinum trims, as well as Limited trims.
