These wheels are already available in the United States.
The Volvo XC40 crossover is already a very attractive model. But, the Swedish brand gives the SUV an aesthetic lift with the new Exterior Styling Kit. This collection gives the model a more serious look, without making it seem cartoonishly aggressive.
These updates include new brushed stainless steel skid plates at both the front and back. However, these parts are more for fashion than protection underneath the vehicle on off-road excursions. A spoiler is attached to the roof and the lower door trim is also made of brushed stainless steel. A set of five-spoke 21-inch wheels in a mixture of metallic and black finishes is added as a finishing touch.
The Exterior Styling Kit is not yet available or priced. The 21-inch wheels are an option in the United States. They are available with performance tires for $2,680.
The Inscription trim level is available for customers in the U.S. The vehicle features the same body upgrades as the Exterior Styling Kit, including the skid plates. However, the chrome trim is also around the windows and grille. The interior features a crystal gearshift, wood trim and leather upholstery. The XC40 Inscription will be available only with a 248-horsepower, 185-watt, all-wheel drive powertrain and an eight-speed automatic. Later in the summer, a front-wheel-drive version with 187 horsepower (139-kW), will be available. Future models will include fully-electric and hybrid versions.
The 2018 European Car of the Year is the XC40. It offers a better selection for those looking for a premium, compact SUV.
