This model is a four-cylinder diesel engine.
The new 6Series Gran Turismo has a significantly improved design than its predecessor. This makes it an attractive choice for those looking for a practical and stylish car. BMW introduced the model last year with six-cylinder engines. It was available in the 630i,640i gasoline, and 630d,640d diesel models. A new entry-level model will be available for European markets starting July with a smaller 4-cylinder engine.
The 620d Gran Turismo is powered by a 2.0-liter diesel. It produces 190 horsepower (140kW) at 4,000 rpm, and 400 Newton-meters (295 pounds-feet), which can be reached from 1,750 to rpm. The new base model can reach 62 mph (100 km/h) in 7.9 seconds from a standstill, and then accelerate to 137 mph (220 km/h).
The 620d GT weighs in at 1,765 kg (3,891 lbs). The 620d GT comes with the eight-speed Steptronic transmission. You can also have the more luxurious suspension options, such as the air suspension. Customers who are willing to spend more can have all-wheel steering and the Executive Drive system that includes Active Roll Stabilization.
The BMW 6 Series Gran Turismo is equipped with the standard 17-inch wheels and the four-cylinder diesel. It will consume 4.8 liters / 100 km (49 MPG) in the combined cycle. This equates to CO 2 emissions at 127g/km. The larger 18-inch alloys will improve efficiency. Fuel consumption will rise to 4.9 Liters/100 km (48 MPG) and CO 2 emissions to 128g/km. For those who are willing to spend more, larger 20-inch wheels will be available.
BMW has not yet revealed pricing details for the new BMW 620d Gran Turismo. However, it is certain that it will be significantly cheaper than the 630d at home in Germany starting from EUR66,000.
