See how off-road vehicles work. Here you go.
These modes can offer consumers unchartered driving, but how much? SUV battle is a YouTube channel that compares crossovers and SUVs. It has compared nine compact crossovers on the market to see which one wins.
Before you start watching the video, please be aware that there are some disclaimers. The first and most important is the fact that the uploader admitted that the comparison was not fair. Each crossover’s performance is greatly affected by the driver and the set tires on each vehicle.
The most important thing is the next. Because all vehicles are required to go through the same route, the integrity and difficulty of the obstacles will worsen. Potholes get deeper and ground gets looser. The last vehicle encountered the most difficult conditions. Therefore, the test began with the car that had the lowest power and progressed to the more powerful.
SUV Battle evaluated the performance of the nine compact crossovers and ranked them. The Mazda CX-5 ranked fifth, and was the last performing model. This shows that it isn’t built for roads less traveled.
Fourth place was shared by four cars: the Changan CS75 (subaru Forester), Mitsubishi Outlander and Volkswagen Tiguan powered by the 1.4-liter turbocharged motor. The Tiguan with the larger 2.0-liter engine took third place, while the Nissan Rogue and Kia Sportage claimed second.
The test was won by the Toyota RAV4 with the new off-road mode. You can see the video above to get a better idea of the results. Be sure to read the disclaimers.
