This one will be delivered in Canada to a customer.
Pacific Coast Auto is a master of their latest purchase. Two days ago, the Japan-based exporter used vehicles shows off a Toyota Grand HiAce all wheel-drive camper that was built in 2004. This camper is super cool for many reasons.
Let’s start with a brief introduction. Based on the HiAce’s Grand HiAce bus, there were several versions of the Grand HiAce around the world. Although the regular HiAce was primarily used for light commercial purposes, it was also available in passenger and camper versions. These vehicles are reliable and easy to maintain, powered almost exclusively by diesel engines.
Let’s now look at this example. It’s made for Japan and has an extended roof as well as a factory camper conversion. It was purchased at an auction and will soon be delivered to a Canadian customer. This van is powered by a 3.4-liter V6 gasoline engine. This engine is much more popular in Japan then in Europe.
The bed system is one of the most unique features about this camper. The three parts of the bed are folded into the extended roof. When you need to deploy the bed, it slides on small rollers. The upper portion of the living room, located just above the rear seats, is where you will spend the night.
We just wanted to add that the HiAce family has a variety of engines on the different markets. There were 17 models in the fourth generation. There were 17 gasoline engines in the fourth generation, six of them 2.0-liter, five 2.2-liter, and seven diesel motors. There are 24 engines, with the largest being a HiAce ambulance’s 4.0-liter V8.
