You want Raptor tech on an F-150 retro-looking? Say no more.
The Ford F-150 Raptor is equipped with all the latest off-road technology from the Blue Oval, to be able to compete in the truck-loving American market. Apart from its gritty looks, these tech toys are part and parcel of the F-150 Raptor’s appeal.
However, there are still many people who love the Ford F-150 look back in the day, especially the sixth and seventh-generation models. Here’s your chance to be one of those people: a 2014 Ford Raptor has a face that looks like a 1979 F-150. It combines the best of both the old and new.
This rig was created by Sweet Brothers Restomods, as you can see in the embedded video. It’s confusing, we know. It is confusing, we know. The chassis, Fox Racing shocks and the 6.2-liter V8 Ford Raptor engine are all kept underneath the skin. While the body was taken from a sixth-gen F-150, it has the same data-type-id=”7″ data-params=”%7B%22tag%22%3A%22restomod%22%2C%22originalTitle%22%3A%22restomod%22%2C%22restomod%22restomod%22%3A%22%3A%22%3A%22%3A%22%3A%22restomod%22%3A%22restomod%22restomod%22%22%22%22%22%3A%22restomod%22%22%22%22%3A%22%3A%22%22%22%3A%22restomod%22%22%22%22%22%2C%22restomod%22%22%22%22%22%22%22%22%22%22%22%222restomod%22%22%22%222%22%22%22%222restomod%22%22%22%22%222restomod%22%22%22%222restomod%22%22%22%22%22%22%222restomod%22%22%22%22%22%22%22%222restomod%22%22%22%22%7D7D22%222restomod%22%222restomod%22%3A%222restomod%222restomod%22restomod%22%3A%22%3A%222restomod%22%3A%22restomod%22%22%22%22%22%222restomod%22%3A%22restomod%222resto22restomod%22restomod%22%22%22%3A%22%22%7D7D22%22%22%22%22%222restomod%22%222resto22%22%222restomod%2 This is the coolest Restomod we have seen on a truck.
Yes, you would be right if the F-150 doesn’t fit in the Raptor chassis. Sweet Brothers Restomods used their aftermarket magic to stretch the geriatric body and make it fit. They’re quite successful at this. Modern essentials like heated and cooled seats and front and rear cameras are available.
The retro-looking Raptor comes with a Roush Stage 2 supercharger kit. It produces 590 horsepower (440kilowatts) as well as 590 pound-feet (890 Newton-meters). This is more than enough power to pull the single-cab body. But you can’t go too many, right?
