McLaren’s 3D Real-Time Configurator is Amazing

Bruno Senna, an ex-F1 driver, has also been playing with the 4K tech.

McLaren offers potential customers the opportunity to configure their new 600LT supercar with real-time 3D software.

It is installed in McLaren dealers and provides a 3D image of the car with 4K detail. According to the Woking-based manufacturer it improves “clarity” and “tonal accuracy.”

Customers who are unable to get to the garage can still have fun with the 600LT options. The 2D online configurator allows customers to view all 28 colors available and six “By McLaren” designs. This will allow them to spark their imaginations.

Despite all the options, the car’s foundations are the same regardless. The 3.8-liter V8 engine produces 592 horsepower and has two turbochargers. This engine, along with 457 lbft (620 Nm), of torque, is sent to the rear wheels via an automatic seven-speed gearbox. Add the curb weight of 1,356 kilos (2,982-pounds) and you have a car that can go from 0-60 mph in just 2.8 seconds to 204 mph (328 km/h).

McLaren released Kenny Brack, chief test driver, and Bruno Senna, brand ambassador to celebrate the MARC (McLaren Automotive Re-time Configurator)’s arrival. This allowed the two drivers to make their own 600LTs.

Brack chose a track-focused specification and omitted unnecessary options like air conditioning or satellite navigation. He also added carbon-fiber exterior upgrades packs.

The Swedish driver also selected the MSO (McLaren Special Operations), Clubsport Pro options pack. This includes a 6-point racing harness, lightweight carbon fiber seats, and a carbon fibre roof.

Brack finished his last touch by painting his car in Sicilian Yellow, and fitting a black Alcantara inside. He then added blue brake calipers so that his car reflected the flag of his country.

Senna, an ex-F1 driver, chose a blue 600LT. However, he also selected the black Alcantara interior with MSO Clubsport Pro Pack. The Brazilian added yellow brake calipers and orange racing harnesses to the mix.

Senna chose a more road-friendly specification than Brack and selected air conditioning, Bowers and Wilkins’ audio system and a rear-view cam. Senna also chose the vehicle lift system to make it easier for the car and other hazards to climb speed bumps.

Brack commented, “This is a great method to see the specifications of a car such as the 600LT before you make your final choices.” “You can view each paint color in isolation. Then, select your wheel design and finish, and then contrast it with any interior specifications that interest you.
