This is the M440i version.
It has been quite some time since we last saw the BMW 4 Series Gran Coupe. Although the last spy shots were taken in December, a new video shows that it is still being developed. It was captured testing the car at the Nurburgring racing track in Germany. The vehicle still sports a lot camouflage that covers the majority of its body
It is strange to see the car in the same camo as it was months ago, considering that it was late last year.BMWChristopher Weil, design boss, said that an official unveiling would take place.Very soon
“But we are still waiting.” Although the car appears production-ready with production taillight and headlight units, BMW has yet schedule its debut. We’ve seen the same fake door handle stickers on this test vehicle before.
This is the M440i model, which has trapezoidal exhaust tips and swaps circular ones for trapezoidal. Its sportier ambitions are also evident by the low ride height and loud exhaust note. The company does not plan to create an M4 Gran Coupe . A four-door is already offered by the company, so a four door M4 would not be necessary. The M Performance trim will replace the M4.
The M440i will be equipped with the brand’s turbocharged 3.0-liter Inline-Six engine. This will be paired with mild-hybrid technology to make the car more efficient. It will generate 382 horsepower (285 Kilowatts) as well as 369 pound-feet (599 Newton-meters). The rest of the lineup will get the same stock of diesel and gas engines. The base car will use a turbocharged 2.0 liter engine that produces 255 horsepower (190 kW).
BMW has not yet announced when the 4 Series Gran Coupe will go on sale, but it is expected that it will be available for purchase in 2022.
