CAR has published a preview of the next-generation BMW M3 in its most recent issue. Geneva Motor Show will feature a near-production prototype.
CAR has a preview of the next-gen BMW M3 within its latest issue. It will be first seen at the Geneva Motor Show in March as a preview Concept.
These are official images of the 2014 BMW M3, according to the magazine’s editors. They were taken in bright yellow. The sedan will get a straight-six turbo engine that produces 444 horsepower (331 kW), which is likely to be transferred to the M4 Coupe.
CAR states that it will come with either a 6-speed manual transmission or a dual clutch (M-DCT), which will later be upgraded to an eight-ratio. The M3 will have a new mechanical differential at its rear axle. It is expected to weigh less than 1,500kg (3,306 lbs) due to a CFRP roof and ceramic brakes (optional). Doors, hood, and boot lid will all be made of aluminum.
