New Option Packs Give Dodge Durango Meaner Styling, Performance

There are five colors of stripes, carbon-fiber interior trim, a lower suspension and upgraded exhausts.

Dodge will allow customers to dress up their new 2018 Durango by offering a range of optional extras for both the R/T or SRT trims. These parts give SUVs a more aggressive appearance and enhance their capability to match the styling changes.

Customers can add two stripes to the outside of the hood, roof, or rear. You can choose from five different colors: Bright Blue or Flame Red, Gunmetal Low Gloss metallic (low gloss black), Sterling Silver metallic (high gloss) and Low Gloss Black. This stylish upgrade costs $1,195

Buyers can also add carbon fiber interior trim to the instrument panel and door bezels. Faux-suede material is included in the package as well as accent paint for the speakers. Upgrades are available for $2,495.

Customers can upgrade the SUV’s capabilities while the engine’s performance is the same. The replacement exhaust has a better flow rate than the stock unit, and is made of 304 stainless steel to resist corrosion. The exhaust ends with a pair four-inch diameter, polished, circular tips. It is available for purchase at $1,850 on Durango SRT and $1,595 on R/T trim levels.

Durango SRT now has a new set lowering springs. These parts reduce the ride height by 0.6 inches (15 mm). According to the company, the engineers used proprietary data that isn’t available to aftermarket tuners to ensure that the parts worked perfectly with stock dampers. These components reduce rear-end squat during acceleration, nose dive at braking and body roll when turning. The springs are $325.

At the Chicago Auto Show, Dodge will display a Durango equipped with these upgrades. Motor1.com is also present to help you check them out.
