Gaddafi ordered the convertible through an intermediary in June 2009, after it was found at Bab Al-Azizia’s bunker. Gaddafi demanded that the vehicle be delivered by September. He also requested that it come with custom touches such as a two-tone paint job and a cream leather interior.
A lithium-ion battery provides the power for a 46 PS (34kW/45 hp) electric engine. The car can travel up to 260km (162 miles) with a single charge and reach a top speed 160 km/h (99mph). The EUR100,000.00 ($144,100 / PS88.550) car was ordered with a huge recharging system that allows the battery to be recharged in just 10 minutes.
