This could be the future for camper vans.
The Nissan eNV200 Winter Camper concept envisions a future where zero-emission snow adventures are possible. It also has all the comforts you need to have a comfortable night at night.
The e-NV200 winter camper features a higher ride height and off-road tires to reach the wilderness. There are also door-entry guards and side bars as well as rubber mats and mudguards. To provide additional illumination for the outdoors, a pair of 5,400-lumen spotlights is mounted on the front. The back rack holds outdoor gear such as skis.
Dmitry Busurkin from Nissan Europe Corporate Sales & General Manager LCV Light Commercial Vehicles said that the Nissan eNV200 Winter Camper van was “infused with the essence of adventure, thrilling electrified power and the essence of adventure,”. This vision and the innovative accessories that are available with standard e-NV200 models will excite outdoor enthusiasts and drivers alike for the adventures they’re looking forward to.
Pop-up roofing is available to expand the living area while camping. The top also has a solar panel to recharge the 220-volt power pack.
There is a small kitchenette inside with a fridge, stovetop, and microwave. When they’re not in use, the beds can be folded down to make more space. Insulated glass keeps occupants warm.
It is a concept so Nissan doesn’t go into details about how long this rig could be used off the grid. It’s unclear if the extra weight of the equipment reduces the range of the e-NV200. The current van comes with a 40-kilowatt hour battery which provides 124 miles (200 km) combined range under the WLTP cycle.
