2021 Ford EcoSport is both cheaper and more expensive than ever

2021 Ford EcoSport is both cheaper and more expensive than everYou still have time to purchase a new EcoSport with great incentives until March 31st.

Ford reduced the entry-level EcoBoost’s price by $490, to just below $20,000 before destination. This was the same price as the crossover’s 2019 model year starting price. The price of some trims is up to $200 higher for 2021. However, Ford claims the increase in cost is necessary to keep its brand competitive and aggressively positioned.

The best part is that there’s a substantial discount before Presidents’ Day. But we’ll get to it in a moment. The MSRP sticker is first. A recent letter to dealers, obtained by CarsDirect, shows that the base 2021 EcoSport S still costs $21,240 including destination. This is the same price as the entry-level 2020 price tag. The SE model will cost $105 more than the base model, however. The SES and Titanium grades cost $160 and $200 respectively.

The incentives for the 2021 EcoSport are up to $3.750, depending on where you live, from March 1st through March 31st. You can save up to $6250 if you’re happy to get the previous model year. This discount is 25 percent off the MSRP in certain states. CarsDirect reports the lowest price EcoSports starting at $15,000, before taxes and fees.

The EcoSport was not among the most popular models with 60,545 units sold in the United States last fiscal year. The EcoSport was sixth in the subcompact SUV category, behind the Subaru Crosstrek and Chevrolet Trax and Honda HR-V. The first month of 2021 looks promising for the model, with 4,382 deliveries in comparison to 3,363 in January 2019, according to CarSalesBase.
