More than half of a million people voted for the car’s features.
Gaming platforms are increasingly popular because people spend more time at home. To build on the success of live streaming, automakers such as Honda have live-streamed their new models on Twitch. Another Japanese brand is now benefiting from Twitch’s popularity – but this is a new level.
Lexus just introduced the Gamers’ IS. The car is a full-sized car that has been transformed into a gaming car using Twitch and the input of 554,000 users who voted for the changes and improvements to the vehicle. SCPS, a fabrication company, was also involved in the construction of the car.
Based on a modified Lexus IS 350 F Sport, 48 percent of voters chose the Infiltrate custom vinyl wrap exterior. The so-called Neon Tokyo interior design was voted for by more than 55 percent of users. It features a neuron-exploding, electrified Japanese pop art aesthetic.
The gaming hardware is the most important. The custom-built gaming computer with an MSI Gaming GeForce GPU and AMD CPU takes the center spot. A sleek housing with programmable RGB LEDs has been used to house the rig in the trunk of the vehicle. The sci-fi atmosphere is further enhanced by a fog machine and automated RGB lasers.

It took 20 SCPS experts to transform a stock car into a gaming vehicle. They included designers, concept artists, 3D models, electrical and structural engineers as well as craftsmen, custom upholsterers and computer technicians.
