A School Bus Is Converted to a Mini House. Van Life on the Cheap

You don’t need to be uncomfortable just because it is cheap.

It is not surprising that van living has been a hot topic since before the pandemic. It’s evident that the coronavirus has made life more complicated, leading to a boom in the go anywhere industry. The Tiny Homes Tours latest video shows a stunningly modified minibus.

Although many builds like this take time and love, this van’s owner, Brian, only took two weeks to complete. This video shows that you don’t have to spend a lot of money to build these mobile living machines. This project cost roughly $13,000, compared to the more expensive builds we have covered.

The kitchen is one of the most prominent features of this machine, which can be used anywhere. The area has a Mexican tile backsplash and a gas stove. There is also plenty of storage space. Because the vehicle was originally a school bus, the original windows are perfectly suited to the design.

Brian makes use of the bus’s emergency exit hatch as a moonroof, following the same theme of repurposing. The feature was important to him as his first adventure vehicle, a Honda Element with the same fresh air capabilities. The vehicle has enough space to accommodate one person and a feline companion, Phoenix.

It’s inspiring to see everyone involved in van life with a positive outlook, regardless of semantics. It doesn’t really matter how extravagant your van is, but what it brings you joy and experience.
