2019 Subaru Forester: View the Side-By-Side Changes

New York’s 2019 Forester will make its debut – with a brand new look.

Subaru has used the strategy “if it isn’t broke don’t fix it” to develop the 2019 Forester. The SUV’s capable design was unveiled at the New York Auto Show. It now has more cargo space, better fuel economy and an updated design that borrows cues from the Crosstrek and Ascent. Although it may not be a major update, here are some comparisons between the new Forester and the previous model.

Some of the most significant changes to the front of the Forester are made. The rectangular grille has been roundeder, which shares some similarities with the three row Ascent. Additionally, the headlights have become larger and more angular. The bumper now has the same black plastic cladding, but it is higher up on the fascia. New, larger fog lights give off a more aggressive front half to the Forester.

They are larger and more angular now than the old square-shaped units. The bumper’s lower section has been given more silver cladding beneath the black plastic.

The new Forester’s side profile is similar to the rest of the restyling. While the overall shape is the same, the new Forester has added features such as silver plastic cladding under the door sills and chrome handles and side mirrors. The trim level will determine which features are available.

The interior of the Forester looks lovely. The exterior styling of the new Forester isn’t drastically different, but it’s still different enough. You can choose from a standard 6.5-inch screen or an 8.0-inch one. Large air vents are located on each side of the larger screen, while a similar three-dial layout is found just below. A new layout for audio controls has been added to the steering wheel.
