Trans Am Worldwide used a Chevrolet Camaro to install a supercharged, 7.5-liter (455 cubic-inch) V8 that produced 1,000 horsepower (746 kW) & 1,046 poundfeet (1.418 Newton-meters). The company used carbon fiber panels to replace the fenders, trunk lid, hood, rear fascia and front fascia in order to keep the weight down. T-tops are also an option in a nod towards the past.

Trans Am Worldwide teamed up with a client in order to create a drag racing version the Trans Am Super Duty for the New York Auto Show. The engine now runs on racing gasoline and features methanol injection which increases the output. Motor Trend states that more power is not possible due to the fact that the eight-speed auto gearbox cannot handle more. There’s also a roll cage inside and a five-point harness.

Trans Am Worldwide will make the drag package a factory option and it’ll cost around $190,000. Motor Trend.

Trans Am Worldwide has the Outlaw Edition Trans Am, which is a slightly cheaper, but slower option. The 6.2-liter supercharged V8 produces 602 horsepower (449 kW) as well as 625 lb-ft (841 NM). Although the output isn’t as impressive, the model still offers the Smokey or Banditaesthetic many buyers are likely looking for.
