Additional-Long Jeep Wagoneer with Stretched Wheelbase Available in 2022

These Jeeps are never too long.

The 2022 Jeep Wagoneer, and Grand Wagoneer are not short vehicles. The 123.0-inch wheelbase is the longest in its class, surpassing the Chevy Tahoe, Cadillac Escalade and the HTML2_ Jeep Wagoneer by 2.1 inches between the front axles and 3.3 inches overall. Both Jeep SUVs outperformed their GM counterparts in terms cargo volume (27.5 cubic feet versus 25.5 cubic feet) as well as passenger volume (179.6 versus 168.4 cubic foot).

Jeep has done an amazing job of making its latest nameplates class leaders. You could be mistaken if you believe that the American car brand is ending there.

Additional-Long Jeep Wagoneer with Stretched Wheelbase Available in 2022This was first mentioned at the Grand Wagoneer Concept Launch last years. MotorTrend confirms that both the long-wheelbase Wagoneer and the more luxurious Grand Wagoneer SUVs have been developed. This could occur once production begins on both SUVs and could be available by 2022 as a 2023 version, MotorTrend estimates.

Notable: The long-wheelbase Wagoneer will compete against the Ford Expedition Max, Chevrolet Suburban and the Cadillac Escalade ESV. While the extra-long Grand Wagoneer faces the Lincoln Navigator L and GMC Yukon XL,
Additional-Long Jeep Wagoneer with Stretched Wheelbase Available in 2022Jeep didn’t confirm this at the launch of the Grand Wagoneer and Wagoneer production models last week. So things aren’t yet set in stone – at least until Jeep provides a more definitive confirmation in the coming weeks or months.

MotorTrend is also open to the idea of a plug in gasoline-electric hybrid Wagoneer. The brand needs to make a concrete announcement about the idea, just as with the long-wheelbase Wagoneer models. We won’t be surprised if it ever comes to fruition.
